我模仿兒童初始對顏色與線條的直接感受與應用來體驗創作過程,簡單直接不裝飾表達情緒的真實,沒有框架限制性信念,真實的人類本質,沒有相對性的存在,沒有善惡對錯美醜之分,只有直接性地感受,探索的根源。

藍色不是憂鬱 是喜悅

綠色看似溫和其實是那醜陋憤怒

黑色不是黑暗恐懼而是恣意地快樂

黃色是無盡地悲哀

  

藉由推翻視覺感官對顏色反應的常理認知來重新面對情緒,我利用單一色調明顯帶出第一視覺感受喜怒哀樂在定義中的顏色,而近觀感受筆觸線條帶出的情緒與之相對產生第二種認知衝擊,深藍本是感受憂鬱卻呈現喜悅的線條,綠色對應亂七八糟醜陋的憤怒,哀卻充滿喜悅的黃色,樂由小孩擠奶油在蛋糕上的單純快樂卻用黑色,眼耳鼻嘴是情緒接受器(仿原始沒有文字時的刻畫),在身處跳躍AI的現在,我們興奮迎接著其帶來的便利卻也身懷擔憂被取而之甚至無法駕馭的恐懼,我思考著藝術在其中的貢獻能是什麼? 在教侄子創作的過程,我深深感受到無可取代那人的本質,他無疑讓我感知那真實純粹散發出的情感能量,顏色與筆觸隨意地展現不需要理由,那麼單純享受地自我詮釋。在邁向複雜精緻混亂的時代的過程我覺得我們需要抽離回歸最單純的本質。跳脫原有附加的定義與框架重新以開創思維多元面向去面對未來,例如為什麼黃色不能是悲傷? 而喜悅不就是因為有悲藍的情緒以之相對才存在? 否則以什麼來定義悲哀? 看見綠色能自然撫慰憤怒那也就把它跟憤怒聯想一起比較舒服吧!

所有的定義都有其常理而出,習以用之是否僵化了我們的思維,在現實裡這些定義在另外一個世界是不同的是與非,而我們處在這裡眼前的這些實相能否用我自身的感受來定義? 希望藉此創作能帶我們用心去感受身為人所擁有的本質價值,從最純粹的色調與線條裡感應出當下自我的思維抑或開拓,對應萬變而不變的真理。

"I mimic the way children initially perceive and apply colors and lines, experiencing the creative process with directness and instinct. Simple, unembellished expressions of emotions—free from constraints, limiting beliefs, and imposed frameworks—reveal the true essence of humanity. In this space, there is no duality, no distinctions between good and evil, right and wrong, beauty and ugliness—only the immediacy of feeling, the root of exploration.

Blue is not sorrow—it is joy.
Green, though seemingly gentle, is in fact grotesque anger.
Black is not darkness or fear—it is uninhibited happiness.
Yellow is an endless sorrow.

By overturning the conventional associations between colors and emotions, I confront emotions anew. Using a single dominant hue, I bring forth the initial, instinctive emotional reaction tied to the traditional definition of color. But upon closer examination, the strokes and lines evoke a second, opposing emotional impact—deep blue, typically linked to sadness, instead conveys joy through its movements; green corresponds to chaotic, grotesque anger; sorrow is painted in a yellow filled with joy; and pure, childlike happiness, akin to piping cream onto a cake, is expressed through black.

The eyes, ears, nose, and mouth serve as receptors of emotions—reminiscent of ancient carvings before the existence of written language. In an era where AI leaps forward, we eagerly embrace its conveniences, yet simultaneously harbor the fear of being replaced, of losing control. I ponder—what role does art play in this shift? Teaching my nephew how to create, I deeply feel the irreplaceable essence of humanity. His unfiltered expressions radiate an undeniable emotional energy—his colors and strokes are free, needing no justification, embodying pure enjoyment in self-interpretation.

As we move toward an era of complexity, refinement, and chaos, I believe we must detach and return to the simplest essence. By breaking free from predefined meanings and rigid frameworks, we can embrace a more expansive, innovative, and multidimensional way of perceiving the future. Why can't yellow represent sorrow? And isn’t joy only possible because of its contrast with sorrowful blue emotions? Without sadness, how would joy be defined? If green can naturally soothe anger, wouldn’t it make sense to associate them more comfortably together?

Every definition emerges from convention—but have these conventions rigidified our thinking? In another world, the definitions of right and wrong may be entirely different. Can we, in this reality before us, define things based on our own authentic perceptions? Through this creation, I hope to guide us toward truly feeling the intrinsic value of being human—to sense our thoughts and expansion through the purest colors and lines, aligning with an unchanging truth amidst an ever-changing world."
